ADME DB

The Online Bio Database service aims to provide information in areas ranging from biology to computer chemistry. The currently available database is ADME Database version - a database of substrates, inhibitors, inducers and activators of Drug Metabolizing Enzymes and Drug Transporters.

Human P450 Metabolism Database

Provides information on 50 CYP enzymes and a number of variants, which participate/are tested in the metabolism of xenobiotics and endobiotics in humans.
  • Contains over 13 000 entries
  • Contains more than 6 500 substances, a number of natural products and preparations, as well as other factors influencing CYP activity
  • Contains data collected from more 3 000 citations

Other Enzymes

The information on the following enzymes are currently available: Esterase, UDP-glucuronosyltransferase, Sulfotransferase, Glutathione S-transferase.

Drug Metabolizing Enzymes # of Entries
Substrate 1,259
Inhibitor 602
Inducer 1

Kinetic Metabolism Database

  • Database contains over 11,000 entries extracted from Human Cytochrome P450 metabolism database references providing numerical data on major kinetic parameters relevant for use in drug developing/application studies
  • Human P450 Kinetic Database is available only when it is coupled with Human P450 Database

Human Transporters Database

  • Provides information on more than 256 Transporters involved in drugs transport, physiological compounds, nutrients, and other chemicals and metabolites
  • ABC Transporter
  • Organic Ion Transporter
  • Peptide Transporter
  • Nucleotide Transporter etc.

Available Information

Detailed information for each entry includes the following data items:

  • Protein information about either P450/Transporter
  • Metabolic Reaction*
  • Interaction Type (substrate, inhibitor, inducer, activator)
  • Drug/Metabolite* structure
  • References
  • Links to PUBMED

Note:Included only in Human P450 Database

P450 Kinetic Information

Kinetic information for each entry includes the following data items:

  • Michaelis - Menten Constant (Km)
  • Maximum Velocity Vmax
  • Inhibition Constant Ki
  • Cooperativity
  • Half-life of drug elimination T_half
  • in vitro Assay Model used to determin the kinetic parameters

Summary Information

  • The information summarized for each entry is shown in tabular format
  • Results may be sorted to allow you to identify compounds of interest

Advantages

  • Reduce the costs
Since the service is available online, it is accessible anywhere via a web browser. As a result, there is no need to pay for expensive initial cost associated with a package software.
  • Instant access
Upon subscription and receiving a user ID and a password, users are able to login to the system on a 24×7 operating basis throughout the entire year (excluding system maintenance periods).
  • No maintenance/management fees
There is no need to setup a dedicated server within the company. This eliminates the need for maintenance, management, regular data backups, and updates.
  • High security
With Fujitsu's high security measures being implemented, there is no need to worry about data loss and information leaks.
